Refund policy
1. Change of Mind Returns
You may request a return due to change of mind within 7 days of receiving your order, subject to the following terms:
- A 20% restocking fee will apply to all approved change-of-mind returns.
- The item(s) must be in their original packaging, unused, and in resalable condition, as determined at our discretion.
- You are responsible for the return shipping costs, and the goods must be returned to us at your own expense and risk.
- Refunds will only be processed once the returned items have been inspected and approved by our team.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above conditions.
2. Returns Due to Quoting Errors
If your order was based on an error or misquote provided by Decking World, we will accept a return without applying the restocking fee. However, the same conditions apply:
- Goods must be returned within 7 days of receipt
- In original packaging
- And in resalable condition
3. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, please email us at admin@deckingworld.au with the following:
- Your full name and order number
- The reason for return
- Photos of the product and packaging (to confirm condition)
We will respond within 2 business days with further instructions, including the return delivery address.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Custom-cut, modified, or made-to-order products
- Products returned without original packaging
- Items damaged due to misuse, incorrect storage, or improper handling after delivery or collection
5. Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved refunds will be processed via your original method of payment
- Refunds (less any applicable restocking fee) may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your financial institution
6. Return Shipping Responsibility
You are responsible for arranging and paying for the return delivery unless otherwise agreed. Decking World does not accept liability for return items lost or damaged in transit. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery method.
